The ICD-EXA test provides valuable information on intracellular tissue electrolyte levels which are in a dynamic state thus providing data on cell mineral balance not previously available. Proper use of the elemental analysis requires correlative studies by a qualified physician including other laboratory tests, the health histories and clinical evaluations by the physician.

In X-Ray fluorescent analysis the specimen is bombarded by high energy electrons or x-rays. The energy carried by these particles is partly transferred to the atoms of the specimen. In a portion of these interactions the energy is released as another x-ray. THE ENERGIES (wavelengths) OF THESE SECONDARY EMITTED X-RAYS ARE DISTINCT AND UNIQUE TO THE ELEMENTS AND ATOMS WHICH FLUORESCED THEM. Thus a spectral "FINGERPRINT" is calculated by the computer for the specimen or tissue examined
