Indication ADRENAL ADENOMA

Report Status: Final

CLINICAL INFORMATION: 71-year-old male, adrenal adenoma


COMPARISON STUDIES: 5/11/11, 12/20/10


FINDINGS: Real-time imaging of the abdomen was performed utilizing a multifrequency vector transducer.


Liver: Two stable cysts are seen within the liver, measuring 2 cm in segment 2, and a bilobed cyst measuring 2.4 cm in segment 3. No solid liver lesions.


The intrahepatic bile ducts appear normal. The common bile duct measures 4 mm. Main portal vein measures 1.3 cm.


Gallbladder: The gallbladder appears normal. There is no gallbladder wall thickening, cholelithiasis, or sonographic Murphy's.


Pancreas: Obscured by bowel gas.


Spleen: The speen is normal and measures 9.2 cm.


Kidneys: The right kidney measures 10.6 cm and the left kidney measures 10.4 cm. Both kidneys demonstrate normal echogenicity. There is no hydronephrosis.


Other: There is a stable appearing 1.6 x 1.6 x 1.8 cm suprarenal mass, corresponding to the patient's known adrenal adenoma. It is unchanged since 12/20/10. No ascites is seen. The visualized portions of the abdominal aorta and inferior vena cava are unremarkable.


IMPRESSION:

1) Stable right adrenal nodule, most likely an adenoma.
2) Two left renal cysts.
3) Pancreas obscured by bowel gas.


Addendum 1

There is a typographic error in the IMPRESSIONS of the repoprt. Specifically, IMPRESSION 2 should read: "Two left hepatic (not renal) cysts." The remainder of the report is unchanged.
