C.INICAL INFORMATION: Osteoporosis screening


COMPARISON: baseline evaluation: 10/15/09. Most recent comparison study: Baseline exam.


TECHNICAL COMMENTS:
Lumbar spine: No technical issues in BMD measurement.
Right hip: No technical issues in BMD measurement.
Examination of the right hip was used for the examination because patient had porior left hip surgery.
There is mild dextroscoliosis of lumbar spine.


FINDINGS:
The T score of the lumbar spine is 0.3.
The T score of the total hip is -0.8.
The T score of the femoral neck is -1.3.

IMPRESSION: The BMD of the lumbar spine is within normal limits. The BMD at this site on the current examination is 3.3% increased compared to the most recent comparison examination.

The BMD of the total hip is within normal limits.

The BMD of the femoral neck is osteopenic.
